Driving Lessons: CSS Driving School

I recently got my G1 drivers test and now I'm ready to take lessons!!I researched the driving schools that are authorized by the Ministry of Transportation. There are only a few driving schools downtown and they are all more expensive than schools outside of downtown. I'm taking 8 inclass sessions, they last 3 hours. Then I will be in the car starting in August. Wish me luck!!

North Toronto Memorial Community Centre - WOW

The North Toronto Memorial Community Centre located at 200 Eglington Avenue West in midtown Toronto near Yonge and Eglinton is incredible.

The centre offers swimming and other fitness classes through the Toronto parks and rec. guide. The facility is beautiful and has amazing pools.

I can't swim! I almost drowned as a kid and never felt like trying to get back into the pool, until NOW!! I'm taking private lessons because I'm scared and need one on one attention :)

Registration starts June 4th and classes start at the end of June. Classes are once a week for 30 minutes and run for 9 weeks. Private classes cost $249 for the 9 weeks. Group lessons are cheaper, they cost $59 for 9 weeks. I'll switch over to group lessons once I feel comfortable in the water :)

Restaurant: Chimichanga

We had lunch at Chimichanga this great Mexican restaurant at 2360 Yonge Street near Yonge and Eglinton in midtown Toronto.

They have a lot of vegetarian options. If you order guacamole they make it for you at your table! It is so good! I always order the veggie burrito, its a large portion and so yummy! The restaurant doesn't have a lunch menu so it can be expensive. We paid $20 each, which is more that I usually pay for lunch. It's worth coming here as a treat.

Restaurant: Over Easy - Sunday brunch

We had brunch at a great place. Good pick Tina & Hetan! Over Easy is downtown Toronto near the financial district on Yonge Street between King and Wellington.

We got the special 2 eggs, toast and home fries for $8 including tip! The place has great atmosphere. I love the high ceilings and chandeliers.

Movie: Up - watched in 3D

We watched the animation 'Up' in 3D at Silvercity Yonge-Eglinton, Toronto.

The cost of a 3D movies is more expensive than regular movies. We paid $15.50, regular movies are $13.50. The extra cost is for the 3D glasses which they ask you to recycle at the end of the movie.

The movie had a lot of deep themes: death, divorce and loneliness to name a few. The 3D effects were good and the movie was entertaining. I give it a thumbs up.

Computer Store: Fortune Computers - good deals!

We were picking up LB's new computer at Fortune Computers. It's located downtown Toronto at 280 College Street, the main intersection is College & Spadina.

This is one of my favourite computer stores in the city. You can find great deals, a lot of stuff is half the price of the big box stores like FutureShop. I have bought many things from here over the years. The store is crazy busy on Saturday afternoons!
